Black and White

Two posts…one day? That's right my friends.

Aldo boots, Forever 21 leggings, Betsey Johnson sunglasses and houndstooth cape from a stand at a Christmas market at a nearby church.

Let me just tell you about the relationship I have with this houndstooth cape. I was at a Christmas market at a church and in between the potpourri stand and the flavored pecan stand was a little stand with a bunch of weird looking clothes. Being over stimulated by the smell of cinnamon and Christmas tree I decided to take a little looks through the clothes…and that is when I realized love at first sight does exist. I put this cape on and all the house wives in the neighborhood were instantly envious that there was only one more left at the market. Needless to say, I convinced my mom to buy it for me as an early Christmas present and have been in love since.

Now let me tell you about the relationship I have with this outfit. When I take the cape off I look like I'm prepared to rob a bank. So I'm going to give ya'll a challenge. What other ways can I wear this houndstooth cape?

And I'm back in the game.

Okay guys. I'm back. So without further ado here is my first outfit post in months:

Ariat boots, White House | Black Market jeans, turtle neck stolen from my friend Jess, Banana Republic blazer, Delia's belt, and a gifted head band.

Okay ya'll it's been really cold here in Texas. I realize the rest of the country has actual snow and actual temperatures to complain about but Texans (especially me and my wardrobe) are not prepared for the cold weather. Anyways, I woke up early in the morning to go to work and the city was covered in ice. The freeways were so slippery it was like driving in Wario's Gold Mine on Mart Kart (anybody?). So I needed to wear the easiest shoes to walk in so I wasn't slipping and sliding everywhere…cue the cowboy boots.

What I didn't show you is the GINORMOUS coat I wore over this. And the fact that I was still freezing.

Hope ya'll are having a good Monday!

And so we meet again…

Okay ya'll. I'm just gonna say I'm sorry. I still haven't fixed my camera, I haven't worn anything of interest in months, and I basically gave up on blogging.

Here's what's happened in our lives since August. I (Karmen) moved back to Houston, Texas and Mandy is back in Columbia after a summer in Myrtle Beach. I'm now moving into a new apartment in downtown Houston and I finally have a job that pays me enough to support my shoe addiction. I desperately need an outlet for my creativity so I'm basically going to try and do this again.

So I'll see you soon with an actual outfit post!
